Art Festival

Today we hit up a local art festival with Grandpa. I am ashamed to say I didn't take many pictures :( The highlight of the day for Leyna was getting her face painted. She sat so still and picked out exactly what she wanted. A butterfly with green and blue wings.
She also got to go to the candy store and pick out one of anything she wanted. She picked a big strawberry lollipop. What about all that chocolate Leyna??? Sheesh ;)
Here are a few other shots from the day. The picture of Cora is the best one I got. She was saying "I've eaten grilled cheese, chicken, fries, cheerios, and beans. Now get me out of this restaurant before I pop!"
Leyna finished off the night by using Grandpa as a human trampoline. Sorry Grandpa - you're a trouper!

Sunny Seersucker Sweeties

I thought the girls looked so cute in their semi-matching outfits today so I tried to do a little photo shoot but it never worked out. Cora was ready for a nap and Leyna just had better things to do. This is the best picture I could get:
But I got a couple of other candid shots that turned out pretty cute:
We had a morning/afternoon visit from Mee Maw today and the girls had fun crawling all over her and listening to her read stories :)
Then this evening Grandpa came by to hang out and enjoy Pizza Friday with us. Cora was obsessed with his rings for quite a while.
And our pizza turned out delicious as usual tonight! Leyna is really becoming a pro at making our dough :)

A concert

Today we went to an outdoor concert for kids. The entertainment was a guy who made alphabet shapes out of his body. It was kind of interesting... LOL
It was crowded...
So Leyna hid in the stroller until she felt comfortable.
Then she got into the show a little bit...
But for the most part I don't think the kids were really interested.
Cora spent the entire show climbing on Aunt Kim :)
And then got into the show at the very end (he's making an X but I think Cora was making a Y)
Afterward we went to the park which was a much bigger hit. I think Leyna had her fill of fun today!

Under the Big Top

I can't say we did anything too exciting today but we still had fun playing around. We actually spent a good bit of time playing "circus." I hoisted Leyna up in the air and she flew and flew. All the while I was also defending myself against Cora who was smacking me in the head and giving me kisses by suctioning her mouth onto my face like a sucker fish. It was fun! Leyna did some other various tricks and Cora was practicing some kind of break dancing moves. At the end Leyna pretended to paint our faces :)

And the quote of the day by Leyna to me after a disagreement: "I DON'T LOVE YOU! Humph!"
I'm going to need therapy to get over that one.

Someday my prince will come. But in the mean time I'll just dance with this guy.

First off I have a brag. Cora learned another new sign today. "Milk!" A very important sign indeed. She started using it at about 5 am this morning (that's nothing to brag about) and practiced throughout the rest of the day. Here's a shot of her intense concentration:
(to do the sign you hold out one hand and pretend you're milking a cow/squeezing a stress ball)

While Cora was practicing her skills Leyna was in super princess mode today. There was much talk of princes and dancing. At one point she was sitting on the couch looking forlorn and I asked her what she was doing. Here is the quote of the day:  "Thinking about Conner. My prince. But he loves me so much. But he doesn't share his drum with me." I about died. She already knows how to bring up the old drama just like a good girlfriend. Watch out boys!
Since her prince was no where to be found Leyna decided to hang out with her talking/singing/dancing Elmo instead. They spent a good bit of time dancing today and I got a few cute pictures. When I looked at them just now I laughed so loud I can't believe I didn't wake Cora up. Check out Elmo's face change in this short series...
Conner, if you're reading this, you'd better come have a talk with Elmo.
