Disney World: Day 2

The girls awoke to a big surprise this morning: Real princess dresses from Nana and Pee Paw!!!

 Here's our little Cora-Belle :)

 And here's our very own platinum blonde-haired, green-eyed Rapunzel!

And if that wasn't exciting enough: We told them we were going to go eat breakfast in Cinderella's Castle and meet the princesses!!! Let's go!

 The girls shyly and excitedly met the real princess and we had pictures taken and delivered to our table...

 After pictures we headed to our seats. Each girl received a wishing star...

There was a plate full of pastries. I think Cora tasted tested every single one.

 Snow White!!! She was so sweet to her little fans...

 The girls tried to eat their breakfast but there was too much excitement going around. Next they received wands!

"This is the best day of my life!" she exclaimed :)

 Next up: Sleeping Beauty!

Then there was Ariel. That got Cora really excited. Though you can't tell Cora is excited from any of the pictures because she was so star-struck that she just stood there and soaked it all in.

 She got a little caught up in Ariel's hair. It was fun :)

 Princess hugs are the best.

And finally we heard Cora exclaim, "That's my Belle!!!" Her favorite princess had finally arrived. She was totally speechless.

After breakfast we headed out to Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day. And what's just as exciting as meeting every princess you've ever dreamed of? Ducks. I guess Disney ducks are special...???

Next up was waiting in line for Tinkerbell. Here's our little fairy. Who, by the way, was a little annoyed that her wand wouldn't really do any magic.

 Terence the fairy. The girls were not impressed.

 But Tinkerbell? Very impressive :)

 Now time for some rides! Jungle Cruise anyone?

 Or maybe a Magic Carpet Ride? This was a definite favorite...

 Someone enjoyed her stickers a little much.

And then the Country Bear Jamboree. Leyna clapped along for most of the show while Cora named which bears were the mommies, daddies, and babies.

 Now for a relaxing ride on the People Mover.

And then I spent 30 minutes walking up and down this pathway trying to get Cora to fall asleep for a little nap. Not happening Mom!

She wanted to ride the Teacups with Daddy, Pee Paw, and Leyna instead!

Then a little impromptu dancing with the Seven Dwarves...

And Cora finally called it quits. Many a passerby admired her eyelashes while she was out :)

While she slept and stayed with Nana and Pee Paw, Leyna, Daddy, and I went to the Enchanted Tiki Room for a little show. This is Leyna enjoying being an only child for a few moments ;)

And then she completed a major rite-of-passage. Her first Mickey Bar. Of course she was sweet enough to let Nana have the first ear ;)

Later we did a little shopping at the Emporium on Main Street. Leyna's mission was to decide which Minnie was her favorite. Tough choices...

 After shopping we headed to dinner at Tony's (a la Lady and the Tramp) for dinner. How cute is this...???

 Daddy's dessert was quite impressive...

 And mine wasn't too shabby either!

After dinner Nana and Pee Paw went back to their room (poor Pee Paw has a bit of a cold) and Leyna and Daddy decided to brave Splash Mountain. I really can't believe Leyna was up for this. Splash Mountain is a log flume ride and here is a brief description: "At the top of the third lift hill, the log descends the 52-foot drop at a 45 degree angle, reaching a maximum speed of 40 mph." Um yeah, it scares me to death every time. Luckily this time I got to sit out with Cora in the gift shop while Daddy and Leyna got the thrills. I'm really sad we don't have a picture but Leyna's excitement when she got off the ride was priceless. She was so proud of herself and when I asked her if she screamed she said "No, I didn't want to scare the others." LOL!!!
After Splash Mountain we were treated to some fireworks, which we watched for a few moments and then with Daddy carrying Leyna and me carrying Cora we raced through the entire park on foot to try to beat the post-fireworks exodus.

It was exhausting for the adults but the girls got a nice fireworks show over our shoulders on the way out. Then it was onto the bus to get back to the hotel. You would think the girls would have been exhausted but they stayed awake the entire ride! Leyna sat on my lap and made friends with the little girl (Taya) next to her. They exchanged glow sticks and did tricks with them and giggled all the way back to the hotel. It was adorable and magical even though it was something so simple.
And even when we got back to the hotel the little stinkers still weren't tired enough to get to bed. Here they are chatting up a storm, laughing, and recounting the day. Love these lucky little ladies :)
