Disney World: Day 3

This first picture is kind of a side story. It's not very interesting but I took it to remind myself to record it. Every morning Cora has been like a wild bull on the bus. It's always very crowded and keeping her on my lap is hard enough, let alone keeping her from kicking and otherwise harassing people. She loves to do it with a sly little glint in her eye. She's a stinker! On this particular part of the ride Cora's main goal was to put this sticker on the man's butt that was directly in front of her face (it was standing room only). She just kept reaching for that butt! It was kind of hilarious trying to stop her about 8 or 9 times before we finally distracted her with something or another. LOL!

Anyway, moving on. After all of the lines that lead to rides and shows that she has never seen before, Cora's new favorite thing to say all day is "What's happening?" "What's happening Pee Paw?" "What's happening Mama?"
So as we started off our day in the line for the Kilimanjaro Safari at Animal Kingdom Cora had plenty of time to ask us what was happening. What happened was that we got on our safari truck and had one of the best safari experiences ever! (A lot of these are just scenery pictures but they came out so well I just have to share!)

These Rhinos were actually fighting. How often do you get to see that from 6 feet away???

At the end of the ride the driver says you're on some kind of  poaching patrol mission and floors it. It's very bumpy and Leyna was feeling the tension of the moment. I just cracked up looking back at her clasping her hands with her eyes squeezed shut and teeth clenched. She was probably praying for mercy. LOL!

After the safari we had to accomplish Leyna's #1 goal for the day: Face painting. ($15 per face and it only takes them 5 minutes or less! What a killing they are making!)

 Lunch was at the Rainforest Cafe.

 This is just a picture of the dining setting. No one we know here!

 Cora was already feeling tired by the time we got our table.

 And she was a little leary of all of the animals on the wall watching her eat...LOL

 After lunch we headed for our favorite Lion King show...

Having someone carry you around all day must be exhausting ;)

We also went to a Finding Nemo show that was pretty much a bust. Cora slept through the entire thing (which was pretty uncomfortable for me though I won't complain about the cuddling part of it) and Leyna got glitter in her eye about halfway through, freaked out, and had to leave the show with Daddy so he could save her.

We met up after the show and Leyna was enjoying a pineapple popsicle, which she finished on her friend the dinosaur.

 Cora finally woke up and had a popsicle too!

The grown ups took turns doing a "big people" ride and Nana and Pee Paw returned with stretchy dinosaurs for the girls. HUGE HIT. Leyna got the same one last time we were here but we lost if after we got home. She was lucky enough to snag the last one on the store as a replacement!

After we finished everything at Animal Kingdom (much more than I have touched on here I'm sure) we headed back to the hotel to chill for the rest of the afternoon. We found a little playground tucked away in a cove and enjoyed some free play there for a while.

After the playground closed at dusk we parted ways with Nana and Pee Paw and headed to the resort shopping area, where the girls finally received their much awaited souvenirs. Princess Minnie for Leyna and Baby Simba for Cora. Love!

We capped off the relaxing evening just playing on the beach near our room. The girls enjoyed every second of running, digging, and rolling in the sand.

Crash! Time for bed!
